I have been able to amend my plans and I will now be staying for Saturday and Sunday to see the sights and hopefully meet some of you. This is getting exciting now...

Be sure and come up to the woodswalk shack at 9:00 Sunday morning. Walk thru with us and we'll make sure you get to burn a little powder.

Does anybody know how the nmlra feels about carrying a defensive firearm on the property (my carry gun is a 1858 so i aint breaking the rules by talking about it  ). I know some organizations don't like loaded guns off the firing line. It stays in its holster i don't wave it around or anything. I know it isn't against the law but i want to respect the wishes of those in charge.

since your chosen carry arm is a cap and ball revolver and all the rules at a friendship prohibit loaded BP firearms at any place other than the firing line, you will encounter way more problems than it would be worth.

I just carry a gun every where i go as long as it is legal and since its legal to carry at friendship i wanted to know how they felt about it. thank you for letting me know i dont want to disrespect them by breaking their rules.

Well for a while i didnt think i was gonna make it but i did im just outside of friendship and am headin there tommorow
