I'm going to weave a sash.What size width ?
3in ?
5in ?
10in ?
I'm going to make it to wrap around myself twice and with braided ends. Thanks for the help Lynn

A 5 inch wuld be nice! a lot of work!
I have card woven several the as 2 to 3 inch and they work well, although 4 inch and bigger s probably a better way to go for stuffing knifes and handguns into!
9 feet of length or better will wrap you twice with a frock coat and leave length for hanging tassles!

IMHO,,8"

I have a 6" and never been real happy with it, It looks good when first put on and if you don't move, but it'll "roll" and look pinched with in a short time.
I have tried 8" for fit and they have enough to actually "gird" your waist like they were supposed too. It's enough to stay in position and look good.

Thanks Bill for the kind words. Also Thanks folks for your answers and help.I was going for ten inches wide and fold in half which would give me five inches wide. This is my first sash on my four shaft floor loom and a test run.I hope to get sixteen feet long to go around twice plus. You never know when your going to have to pull a horse out of a ditch.Bill take care and Thanks again folks for the help. Also Bill I'll post some pic with out the kilt,Have a good weekend all. Lynn
