Have any of you rifle-musket shooters out there had any experience with, I think it's called, a Wilkinson bullet? It is a solid base design that expands to fit the rifling by having its base driven forward upon firing thanks to its skinny 'wasp-waisted' design. I've seen a guy shoot some of these in competition through a Zouave & they did remarkably well. I believe they are used by some NSSA shooters. I'd be interested in getting a mould, if anyone knows a source.

Here's a photo; the Wilkinson is on the right, it weighs in at 433gns. On the left is my .58 Minie it comes in at 613gns.

The fellow you want is Greg Eddington. He's done a great deal of design work on them, and he hangs out at the N-SSA bb: http://www.n-ssa.net/phpbb/
Go over there and in the general posts or civil war arms categories, post a note asking him to contact you. First, you might want to do a search there on the bullet type by name.

Don't shoot 'em myself, but there are guys in the organization who swear by 'em. There are several styles available.
