This peep sight may be well known but it was new to me. Made in the USA by Williams. It's aluminum, not steel, but it has good reviews. We'll see how it is soon because I just ordered one for my Renegade. $47.37 plus about $8 shipping. Certainly not as nice as an original TC sight, but I've given up trying to find one that's affordable.

I've got an older one on my TC Hawken. Quite like it. My only problem was needing to drill another hole in the tang to mount it.

If you prefer peep sights for whatever reason, such as getting to THAT stage of life, I think you'll find it useful.

FYI I put one on my Renegade and it works great. Seems like the screw that comes with it is not the thread mentioned in the instructions. If I recall right, I drilled the hole and tapped it and then discovered it was wrong. So check your threads before you start......

Finally installed the Williams peep sight today. I received it a few weeks ago but had to wait to get the correct tap & bit. You do have drill and tap one hole as mentioned and as mentioned the instructions are vague and only mention a 6-48 screw which is incorrect for the installation. I called Williams and was told it needed an 8-40 which is correct for the screw included. With the right tools it’s a straightforward installation. Except that I had to grind and sand off about a 1/4” of the front corner of the elevation slide for stock clearance, but that was no big deal.
My purpose in getting this is to try and enjoy shooting at 100 yards again. It certainly doesn’t look period correct, but then neither does the old Renegade. Haven’t done any shooting yet but I did walk to the range to make ball park adjustments and sight on the targets I already had up. Seemed to help some but only shooting will tell. I’ll post the results after I get around to doing that.

And if your tang was Drilled & Tapped from the TC factory you'll need an 8 x 32 screw.

Thanks for the follow-up! I knew the screw provided wasn't a 6-48. I haven't had a chance to shoot mine much (2 kiblers and a crockett rifle are taking my time right now) but I do love a peep sight and look forward to getting mine dialed in. Thanks again.
