I'm getting prepared for my annual wander into the Ozarks & find I can only get Winchester #11 caps locally. Up to now I've been using CCI #11s on the Uncle Mikes nipples of my 1858 Remington.
Has anyone tried this combination & if so, what were the results like? I will also have the original factory (Uberti) nipples with me if that is a better combination.
I ask because I'll be 3 miles from a dirt road, which is in turn 3 miles from a 2-lane blacktop that goes 15 miles to the nearest replacement retailer & I really do not want to have to walk to the store if these don't work well together. :youcrazy:
