Looks like it will be very windy today, and today is the only chance for me to shoot for a while. What do you do differently if anything in windy conditions? Don't shoot? Closer target? Look for groupings?

for the windy days, I bring the 'less than accurate' stuff out just for the fun of shooting. For me that is a good day for the blunderbuss, pistols at short range or a cannon

Depending on where you shoot, shoot with the wind behind you or in front of you, shoot close to a windbreak, or just face the challenge of shooting in the wind, preferably at bigger targets on larger backer boards. Maybe a refrigerator box laying on it's side.

or just face the challenge of shooting in the wind,
yep! it will make you a better shot  or hang up targets that will move around in the wind. if you can hit em while there moving they wont stand a chance sittin still. but most importantly, who cares if its windy, go have some fun.

I always shoot. It is a usually little windy where I live. I will do almost any shooting, bench or offhand, close or far, but I don't sight in a rifle on those days.

Went out and shot from the field not going to the range we have set up. Just going through the process shooting out of my bag.

I just shoot.

If you are trying to work up a load for a rifle, forget it. If you already have an accurate rifle then go shoot and see what the wind conditions to to your groups. You'll hopefully learn something that can help you in the field when taking a shot at that big buck on a windy day.

Most important of all, have fun, and if you can, take a kid along!

I have actually enjoyed shooting in a good wind. Gives you a chance to really practice windage adjustment. My last windy outing resulted in a right target hold off of about 8 inches to hit center at 100 yards.
