My local gun club had a field day today with flea market, food, etc. A local dealer was was raffling off for benefit of the Junior activities a John B. Henry Pedersoli .54 cal. Percussion Hawkin-style rifle with Tiger Maple Stock. Appears to be pre-owned new unfired but no papers or box and a small blemish out near the muzzle, but a real stunner. I bought 3 tickets for $10, then about half hour later, bought 3 more, for a total of $20. The drawing was at 1PM, so when my phone rang at 1:15, I thought, nah. Can't be. But it was, and I did! The dealer included a Cabela's long rifle padded case, and as a long time member of NMLRA (incl. 1-of-1000) I really was thrilled. May you all be as lucky at some point! It does appear that my 2nd ticket buy had the winner. Only raffles I've ever won were a basket of cheer, a documented Viet Nam "bring back" SKS and now this Hawken. Anyone else here ever won a gun?
The only thing I have ever won in a raffle was a bottle of vodka
Congratulations

Not won but I have been fortunate enough to be gifted a number of guns over the years; A 50 Cal Fullstock Hawken (actually built by myself and Rudyard); a delightful little 40 Cal Ohio (thanks Rudyard), a 92 Winchester in 38.40 and lately a Single barrel M/L percussion shotgun by Colley. Raffles don't usually fall my way!!

I won the raffle to get one of the NMLRA Ruger Old Army's back in `74. They were "1 of 100." It's still in the strong box and it's still unfired. Won the Texas Lottery once too -- for 23 dollars, as I recall.

Two years back on 07-04-22I won an unmentionable 9mm Turkish 1911 type thing in a case with clips n goodies. Ordered a ram rod, still waiting so I can take it out! I will trade you even? Never fired or loaded.

Over four years ago I visited Martin's Station with my family. I talked to as many people that I could especially Andy the Fort gunsmith as my family waited patiently to continue on our trip to Dollywood.
I bought four tickets for a gun raffle. A year and a half later I got a call from Billy Heck . I won a .54 cal. Jim Kibler Colonial flintlock carved assembled and finished by Gunsmith Andy Thomas his #37 !
The odd thing is that I wasn't the first ticket drawn. The lady who won got tired of them calling and told Billy to quit calling because she wasn't buying anything!
