What's the plan for wood finish? It looks amazing.
Is that a 5 on the bottom of the barrel, or just something laying on the barrel? Just wondering if they are going to come with a form of serial #.
Oh my! I can't wait to see it finished. I have one ordered but it will be a while to get it.The Woodsrunner I ordered arrived today! .54 caliber, fancy maple. Here are some pictures.

Green mountain rifled blank. Jim swamps them in his shop.Couple of questions, who makes the barrel and I'm guessing this stock has more of a French influence than what we see coming out of the early Germanic makers? Similar to the Faber rifle (Number 117 in RCA)??
Read back a couple of postsWondering what the “GM” is on the barrel. Green Mountain making his barrels? I didn’t think they were producing ML bbls
I’m in the early shipping I hope. I’m having another rotator cuff surgery in two weeks. Guess I’ll have a lot of one hand fondling time for a couple of months.Great pics from the OP. Looking forward to watching the new Woodsrunner Rifles morph from the box to finished rifles in the coming months.
I've had rotator cuf surgery on both of my shoulders. After the first 2-3 weeks, you'll likely be able to work on your rifle without the sling on for a couple of hours starting out, then more so.I’m in the early shipping I hope. I ordered a Woods Runner a couple of weeks ago and they told me end of March or the first of April. A lot of the time frame depends on the type of wood you want with the kit. It seems the extra fancy maple takes a while to get.Looks like it will be a great rifle. Just curious as a newbie here, roughly how long is turn around from order to receiving it? I can imagine it varies on model, wood etc. just trying to learn more as I look into the flintlock market.
