I'm hoping to find a replica Colt Paterson with the loading lever (Uberti?) to use as a shooter at our local BP club competitions. Doesn't have to be perfect, just functional and safe. Anyone out there know where I can find one?

Yes! This is the one I want!

Three reasons why, first and most importantly is that it has a cutout to cap the nipples. I do not like the idea of having to install a loaded and capped cylinder onto the frame. I think it would be much SAFER to cap the nipples with the loaded cylinder already installed and just prior to being used.

Secondly, is that I have found that open top Colts seem to throw the first shot after reinstalling the barrel, after that it settles down. Thus, for better overall accuracy, it better to not have to remove the barrel each time you reload.

Last, it's just more convenient to have the option of not pulling the pistol apart each time you reload.

Boston Bill , The lever stays up, unlike the Dragoons the recoil of the .36 is low and the catch holds, it's located just above the pivot pin (screw). Note the recoil on video below at 9:24.
Also will get told off in a minute as this is a wanted/for sale area not discussion.
