I’m in the market for a small, primitive-style tent to use at rendezvous. I don’t need anything large—just a one-man tent that’s functional and historically appropriate. Something lightweight and easy to set up would be ideal, as it’ll mostly just be for me and my gear.

If you have one for sale, or know where I might find a good one, please let me know! Pictures, dimensions, and pricing info would be much appreciated.

For years, I have been using a 12x12 Tentsmith (NH) oilskin tarp as a primitive shelter. I pitch it lower than this picture, and have been through some pretty tough storms and stayed dry. Highly recommended. It can roll up over my haversack and go over the shoulder, so it is light and portable. single pole cut wen I get where i am going
