Wanting to sell my antique cap lock long rifle. I have had this a few month and I just have no need for it at the moment. I don’t have a place to hang or display this and I’m probably not going to shoot it since I have a kibler and a bill large barreled gun. From what some members have told me it was probably made 1840s-1860s not sure of maker or region. Very nice old rifle it is what I believe to be a 44 cal. I have not shot it but I believe it would shoot. Half **** doesn’t seem to work. Missing some wood on the end of the stock. See photos! It is what it is a very cool old cap lock. I am asking 500 and I will ship in a wooden kibler box. Please let me know if you have any questions! Mike

Very interesting and beautiful rifle. I wish I knew more about it. I've seen the words "warranted" stamped on several lockplates before on Vintage caplocks with no other information available.

What is the length of the barrel and L.O.P., please?
I am at the property until Wednesday and I will get exact measurements, but I believe the barrel is between 40 and 42 inches. I will have to measure LOP but I’m 6’4” and it doesn’t feel short to me I would guess near 14” to the front trigger.
