I bought this as a kit a while back and just finished it. I will say that it's an interesting pistol. I won't say that it's a great pistol because as far as I'm concerned it's a terrible pistol!
Where to begin? The ergonomics stink, the trigger pull is awful, it looks weird in person (maybe not so much in photos), it's double action only which means that you rotate the cylinder with one hand but that just presents a fresh barrel to the hammer, you then grab the trigger because the pull is so hard to cock it that you have to grab it like you are shaking hands with a gorilla to raise the hammer which then falls on the cap at some point in it's travel. Who came up with this thing? The trigger has square corners that dig into your finger so I used a glover when trying it out: it really needs to be removed and ground to well rounded corners if you want to shoot it. My opinion is that the geometry of the trigger/hammer/main spring is just wrong. Or maybe I'm just a wimp. I don't know.
I did a nice job of polishing the metal but it's not perfect, nor is the bluing but overall the metal work looks nice which all of this leads me to say that you should only buy this if you want it for display because you will not have fun shooting it. I didn't shoot it because I don't have any 36 caliber balls and it's too darn cold out now anyhow. I did put a #11 cap on each nipple and fired them off in my garage.
