It was around 18 degrees, but it stopped snowing finally and the sun peaked out.Great! Looks cold
The shots completely passed through. Mine was 65 yards and I could tell I thumped it where I aimed, It ran 100ish yards and fell. The blood trail was easy to follow in the snow. . My sons behaved similarly.Congrats on the does! I see two perfect high shoulder shots...musta dropped on the spot.
Good luck on the bear and turkey.
That's interesting. The neck/shoulder juncture, from what I've been told, usually drops them on the spot. Our member Roundball did a whole season of tests shooting a number of deer there: all DRT. I also watched a Brian Beckum video and they shot a half dozen+ in that spot with .490 PRB and all dropped. Always interesting to understand what different shots might do.The shots completely passed through. Mine was 65 yards and I could tell I thumped it where I aimed, It ran 100ish yards and fell.
