It's here...walked out to the mailbox and picked it up. UPS driver didn't have to step on the ground. Unboxed it's all here. Straight grained walnut...barrel is nice enough to brown like it is. Traded an unmentionable revolver for it. At 82 I didn't dance...but I hugged it good/. My new phone won't post pics...

Looking forward to seeing pics when you get the phone worked out 😁

I got a feeling, that at 82, he's gonna be using his "crank" phone with the actual live Operator to connect him!:p
Now now. He did say it was a new cell phone.

Also, I like those Gemmer Hawken rifles. Maybe someday I'll add one to my growing pile.

so...unboxed it...well...shucks....screwholes were off...called...they're sending me a new stock. Not just a little...like wood putty off.

We had the oak box hand crank phone on the wall until I was about 9. number was 87 and the operators knew my name.

The kit stock is developing into a real nightmare. Buttplate has to move a 16th of an inch to the cheekpiece side to line up with the toeplate. If I moved the toe...easier and logical...the toe edge would be a 16th outside the stock. Investarms really screwed the pooch on this. Spend the money and buy a finished rifle. This is going to be a project...I hope I live long enough to 'git er done.' Why bother? you ask...it's how I roll. I'm still looking for a piece of maple to rescue my CVA mountain rifle

as my friend says..."we'll see"...stock is 'supposed' to be here tuesday. Called M-L.com. Suggested they watch the Bob Woodfil video. The customer support guy confessed he hadn't watched it.

I just completed last week the Santa Fe .36 cal kit and the holes lined up pretty well. I did plug and move one for the trigger plate to get the triggernometry closer so the trigger would trip the hammer, but it does now.
Everything else seemed to line up fairly well.
I hope you get that sorted out, its always disappointing to wait for something, then have it not be right.
