In this shot my repo is displayed with THE origanal in Stockholm Sweden. I sent this one to a good friend who taught me to cast online , he lives in Stockholm and set up the meeting at the museum.

I have a coupla FreekForge's nice gonnes and RocklockI just finished casting and boring a Morko for me, so, other than those my favorite at the moment is this bronze museum copy of The Tannenburg Gonne.

The oldest definitively-dated gun in Western civilization, in 1399 the town's castle the gun was named for in present-day Germany was knocked down on top of the arm (it was at the bottom of a well).

This exacting foot-long replica, and so labeled, from Germany has quite-close dimesions to the original. There's an efficiency-promoting smaller diameter powder chamber behind the main bore which is .66 caliber. The original bore tapered up to .70. This is serial-numbered and proof-marked for 28 grain blackpowder as well as 1.8 grain smokeless powder charges.

Bill I can't wait to see yours when its finished I need to make one like yours for myself before I get my surgery in march :( . GS love the looks of that gonne my dad and I are talking about forge welding one like yours and also a tabor style one. Alden you just had to show a tannenberg didn't you :haha: I tried to make one my mill didn't want to cooperate :( and I am still without a tannenberg.
