The feller that got this one together is planning on another this fall. I'll see him in June and I'll keep ya informed. It started out as a joke. :haha: A shoot to help a fellow primitive shooter's wife and young son. The brother had a blood clot break loose in his leg and it went to his lung and he died in the hospital. He was only 47. His son is only 11 or 12 and we agreed to a dollar a shot, but most fellers kicked in $10 or $20 and we raised $180 for the boy's education. So he deceided to make it an annual event. Hell, we even had a Director shootin with us. I know they took pictures but I've never seen any. I'll check and see if any digitals are available and I'll post them. :winking:

I tend to shoot a lot of 2x4 ends lopped off so they make a square 4" face. Give a really nice sight picture at 80 yards. Biodegradable and they hop nice. The more you hit 'em, the smaller they get. They also show up well in wooded areas. Lots of fun with a percussion revolver (Once hit two consecutive with two fast, hip level fanned shots at 15 yards - not bad for 50 trys).

Flintlock in-line shoot. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Hoo boy.

I were at a shoot this past winter where they had an 8" paper plate nailed with a roofin' nail to a board at 25 yds. ifin' ya' hit the nail head it was 1 point and ifin ya'took the nail out and the plate dropped it were 2 points. On one of my own woods walks I have a piece of 3/4" copper tubing bent into a coil that is 4' high with a funnel on top, borrowed it from the whisky maker, you have to drop a .32 cal. round ball in the funnel and get a shot off at a 6" gong at 30 yds before the ball comes out the bottom, its more of a mind game than anything. How about lollypops at 25yds. stuck in a board, no stick shots suckers only. I'd like to do a squirrel cut out of steel and hang it in a Y of a tree way up off the ground. That would be a good one. About them cats, gotta love you guys, bring on the cats and the A-1 sauce ::

A bottle cap nailed to a log or some piece of wood is good fun at 50 and 75 feet with a smoke pole. I use roofing nails and don't drive the nail home. I let the ball do that. See if your gun is a tack driver! Aim small, miss small!
