Your Powder Horn from a Kit?

Yes, and I've looked at a lot of them using the search function. Some beautiful work to be sure but, what I was looking for, is one someone had finished from one of those inexpensive kits. I.E. the $18 - $23 kits you see all over. Are they fairly easy to complete and has anyone added their own flair to spiffen them up a bit?

By the way, your horns are top notch! :thumbsup: Wish I could afford to have you make me one! :grin:

While not from a kit. I make mine from raw parts here are some I made and had a friend scratch.I can make a nice horn but scrimshaw work is not my thing.

Most of the powder horns you see used today are not from a kit, but the maker gathers the horn and everything he/she needs to build one. I suggest this book to start you on the right path.
