Good morning .
I have a question that hopefully someone on here has had the same issue ,
I'm currently waiting on a kibler colonial in 58 rifled cal.
So I have a 50 cal old Hawkins late 70s model. And the wife has a cute little 50 cal cva with a youth stock.
I have always purchased my round balls for my 50's
I pour my own 430 gr for my 45-70
Hi wall.
Now.. I bought a .575 lyman mold from ebay for 45.00$..
The balls that drop from this mold
Sprue up measure.at .575 and .580
Out of round so sprue up
Where rifling and patch contact rifling is the inconsistent out of round measurement.
Don't have the gun yet to shoot and try ..
I'm I being to annal to worry about it.
Is this normal in round ball moulds.
I did buy 2 box's of Hornady swaged
.750 .going to try those also but can always melt them and make new.

Sorry so long.
