Deer is one thing... woodswalks shoots another. I pracTice at 25, 50, and 75 a good bit too. Even at 10 yards. Knowing I'd your gun hit 1 high versus 2 inches at that range means alot. Just knowing this and making a good tie breaker shot can mean the difference between 10th place and 5th. Making a difficult 25 yard shot can mean the difference betwwen 5th and 2nd place.

I use red bull small soda cans for squirrels. I have plywood deer to practice shots and range estimation.

We are traditional here, but few will argue you could appreciate a range finder. Or loan one and mark with tape or paint, or use paint on grass or bark.

Again color means alot. Target, target background, and sights.
