I have three TC rifles. Favorite is the .54 cal. my wife bought as a kit in 85 as a Christmas gift to me. Two are Seneca's. A .36 cal. that I got for her, and a .45 that bought from a forum member.

I have an early 90s 50 cal New Englander dad gave me. It shoots 385 gr Great Plains bullets at a screaming rate with 80 gr of 3f. Very accurate. My favorite is my 73 Hawken. It shoots a .490 ball and .015 patch sitting on top of 60 grains of 3F with a lubed felt wad on top of the charge. Very accurate as well. I don't see anything wrong with anything they made. If you cant shoot them, its your own fault :) I would LOVE to get my hands on a .54 one day. Just not ready yet.

Since I posted about the only TC I owned, I found another, while checking & dusting the rifles in the round rifle rack.100_2413.JPG I put it together from parts that I found in my stash and on eBay in 2019 and now consider it my new favorite. TC stock & lock with a Green Mountain .40 cal barrel. It is a tack driver.

My favorite is bird, upland, waterfowl with the New Englander or TreeHawk. Have the .50 for the TreeHawk a Tackdriver.

Also have a NEW IN BOX NEVER FIRED PA HUNTER CARBINE if anyone may be looking!!!

My favorite is my .50 Hawken restocked in a Pecatonica Long Rifle stock with a Hawken shop trigger guard and nose cap. Also. I’m fond of the .54 Renegade I bought from the original Gander Mountain retail store in Wisconsin in the mid 1970s.

The 45 is stupid accurate, it takes the mystery out of the gun for me. I have several in 45 that I tinker with. The 36 is just flat awesome. It’s my only small bore as of now. The Crack of that 36 going off is awesome.

I like a good .36. mine is a CVA, so not as nice as a TC, but I do appreciate the caliber. Popped a possum on the half shell with it the other day. My Cherokee, which is probably the most accurate BP gun I've owned, is a .40. great little gun.
