What are your favorite Thompson Center (T/C) Percussion guns?

To paraphrase my 2.5 year old grand-daughter... "All of them".

Renegade flints in .50 and .54
Cherokee in .32... if I could only keep one of them it would be this
PA Hunter Carbine, drool every time I touch it
Seneca in .45

I've bought and sold a few various TCs as well. The Hawkens are about the only ones I don't get giddy over.

I love my 3 .54 Renegades but my .45 Hawken refuses to make five shot groups larger than three inches at a hundred yards with almost anything I put in it from the bench. It's lighter to carry also!

.32 Cherokee double set trigger model
.50 PA Hunter Carbine
.45 Caplock Hawken

I've owned or own several other models and/or calibers for models. I still have examples of a few other models around.

It's a tough call but these are my favorites. My first was a .50 Caplock Hawken who I dated exclusively for a number of years so I should throw the old girl on my list.

The Renegade is a flintlock though.

My first T/C was a .54 cal Renegade purchased new from the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO, I still have the box with paperwork and the American flag key chain. Purchased with credits from Chrysler to the Bass Pro Shop for being a new vehicle preparation manager.

Most proud to own T/C is a 25th Anniversary Hawken in .54 caliber. Couldn't afford a new one at the time as we were saving for our 1st house in 1995, but I certainly wanted one. Found this one years later at an auction, they didn't even have it listed properly so I bought it for a very reasonable price.

Favorite T/C is a Johnny Cash'd together.54 cal Renegade with hunter stock (single trigger), Hawken barrel and a Lyman flintlock. I converted it to flintlock a few years back with the help of a breech plug from Track of the Wolf. It has served me well, taken game and even protected me from a feral dog attack. I don't name my guns, rather simply refer to them by the lock mechanism or caliber, not both. This one has earned the name the ".54 caliber Flintlock".

I have all hunting guns, no safe queens. My favorite T/C hunting gun is a White Mtn Carbine. Was a 50 when I bought it, but had a trashed barrel. Sent it to Bob Hoyt and he bored it out to .54 with a 1/48” twist. Light and accurate

Buckeye carbine was put out by Cherrys Sporting Goods in Ohio (Ohio Buckeyes), via TC. Think white mountain carbine with a 2”shorter barrel. Came with a rear peep, and all round barrel. The one I have is the only one I’ve ever seen in person.
