What diameter and weight of bullet does it use?

I used a Lee bullet mold and cut it down by one Band and one groove so it is about 350 grains and .515 diameter

I am curious if the repro Morse cases sold by Track have the same powder capacity as the originals?

No they do not hold as much powder as the original.

That is a cool rifle for sure! On a separate note. That other Civil War Carbine that used the plastic reloadable cartridges (forgive me, I can't remember the name of the rifle) should be accepted here too then??

are you talking about the Burnside carbine? According to the rules, if it was in production before 1865, not a prototype, it is allowed on this forum.

As long as they use a separate, outside priming system, usually a musket cap, then they can be discussed. Hence the Spencer carbine can't be discussed due to self contained rimfire system.
The carbine with the gutta-percha cases are the Smith. Very user friendly, now they use a plastic or metal case and musket cap. The rub is most modern case makers gravitate towards target shooters, and doesn't have as large a capacity as originals.
IIRC, the original load was 45grs fine powder and 320-350 bullet.

I did not see a piece of paper with name and date in one of the photos. Please comply with the guidelines.
