I have to try 3f.

Any birds. Small game on that paper anywhere got it. It's good.

My right barrel shoots just a little to the right i noticed.. I was hitting Pheasant with it no problem so I'm just going to shoot that like it is on center and ignore that.

Ok in that case I suggest upping the shot but keep the powder the same.
The reasoning is to make the powder work harder and thus be more consumed before the muzzle. Partly why I like 4f.

I know you dont want to use more shot but if its not shot everyday you may not notice the extra consumption.
I was shooting 50 grains of 2f and 70 grains of shot but am just playing withe shot a bit so I don’t break a tooth .Im thinking some wherein between 60 and 70 grains is where I well end up .

Wow !! D@mn bud !! NICE !! You da man !!

Funny I read it no problem and didn't see any missed spelling.

I didn't even notice.
Exactly ... Its not like its a bid deal... My fat fingers on this tiny phone I'm always writing something incorrectly but ... some people are bored and have nothing else to do but try point out B.S. that doesnt matter to make themselves feel smart ... or just to be an @$%#0!&. Oh well , youll have that from time to time .

Spell check on this laptop is a clown show. I ask Alexa , Amazon's voice svc.. for clarifications , and she's pretty good. Far as smooth bores go , load her up strong , one size larger than posted for modern ctg. shotguns , and try some patterns.

Oh come on now. I provided a smarty pants history lesson.

I sure hope no one here tries to read Edward Gibbons’ “The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” in its Georgian English, before the English dictionary became common.

It is too..

I was bashed off of forums in the past. I would suggest they go there to hang out.

Most people can read every word spelt wrong. 🙄 you know.

But some.. if you spell one word wrong or the wrong word. They get stuck.. they have to re read etc.

Me bother wouldn't it right side left down upside backwards all reading..

That's almost too much.

That would thin out with a larger shot if needed.

I noticed in modern 7.5 worked good on Pheasant but more shot in the birds than I wanted.

But woodcock or pats.. I'd want the 7.5...

How's it take to load the corn meal etc in the woods action hunting.

I was have been carrying and using.. nitro.. fiber and os cards. I was just loading and taking birds with all combos of that without a paper test. Now I might just buy allot of overshot cards and call it good...

All combos have all worked the same kill wise. Patterns being ok..

I think I was one of the last generation on hand writing.

They can't write anymore. You Can't read it. And they have no clue on cursive.

If I was running a job.. I'd consider label maker for everyone lol

You know you flip a duck tape tag and only need a print number really but instead you get a scribble.

Trigger that’s a good idea about trying one size bigger shot size it just might be the answer in fact I’m gonna try some #6s and #5s .The #7 1/2 the pattern is pretty dense which is what I’m trying thin down some if that’s the right word .And as far as loading the cornmeal it’s the same as loading your powder out of the horn and I carry mine in a small wet formed bullet bag that fits nicely in my bag .My reasoning behind all my shot test loads is to (KISS ) try to keep every thing as simple as possible and just get out in the bush and enjoy myself .

Thanks Nathan I’m thinking of maybe trying one or two sizes of shot bigger than 7 1/2 because as you can see my patterns are way to dense. Also my load has to be strong enough to air rate a tin can not dint it .Im in hopes of doing the same as you and grabbing a gun a go hunt and not be worried about wounding every thing I shoot at that’s all maybe I’m being a little anal about it .Ive come this far I’m sure I’ll eventually get it figured out.take care and give Jess a pat for me .😉

I just got a bag of 5 shot today.

I get to try that out now soon.

Yea is part of the old time of question of what shot. I like less of a larger shot if I can, easy to find too when cleaning the game.

The number 4 closer to close I think you chopp the Pheasant allot with modern but they all full dram equivalent. That's I think different for us. We can use less powder when needed.

The dog also though lol she if I hit them they go down she's finds them. Chases the crippled right down.

Without a dog yea with Pheasant it's be more and maybe a little more... lol

Grouse not so bad if you hit them you pick them up..

The Pheasant. There strong.. hit that ground and hide. Run away and all.. flap around a while in the bag..

Sometimes after the dog gives them its still you know looking at me.. I hold the legs and swing there head into a tree to put them out.

I worked with a fellow from near the Arkansas line. I understood about half of what he said.
