Hard to find model of the Pedersoli 12 gauge ( no choke tubes ) double barrel old English gun , date code 2018 27 inch barrel , weighs in around 7 1/2 pounds ,14 1/2 lop to front trigger ….975.00 shipped to your door…….shinny bores , slick action , shows use , mainly on buttplate ….
These retail @ a little over 2k when new

Beautiful gun and I am interested. Here's the problem for me - Pedersoli heavily advertised this model as 6.8 pounds. The spec description specifically says "lightweight barrels" to reduce overall weight and improve handling. So, are you sure this one is 7.5 pounds?

I had one of these shotguns in the late 1970's and thought it was a fantastic shotgun. I still regret selling it. **SIGH** Would you consider any trades?

7.5 pounds is my bathroom digital scale - ( plus and minus and old fat guy )

The 1970's version was under six pounds (without charges), and they are lovely guns. The later production are about 1.5 pounds heavier. The Old English version is advertised as under 7 (as Sparkitoff states), which is still a nice carrying weight.

The heavy tare weighing method is a pretty good system, but bathroom scales usually claim accuracy to within 1/2 pound, so it might, or might not, be about as advertised. Price is certainly fair, but so far my cooler head has prevailed.

Not looking for trades at this time

My biggest issue with these newly made SxS's is because of lawyers they always have heavy trigger pulls. Did Pedersoli ever list those numbers? Whether your hunting or in my case now only breaking clays trigger pull is important.

Trigger pull is certainly important. Years ago, after I was caught in a thunderstorm during sporting clays, I discovered that the bolts holding the bridle in place were not snug, and so I snugged them. OMG the trigger pulls went up to about 10 pounds! Had to do something so I eased the bolts off until I had decent trigger pulls 2.5-3 pounds. This didn't sit well, but I remembered that a friends $8K Perazzi had pins in parts of it lock that were simply held in place by the wood around the inletting. Using the stock to hold or prevent things from coming loose, does seem to have been a part of gunsmithing.

Anyway, the slightly backed off screws have provided me with very serviceable trigger pulls for several thousand rounds, and everything stays right in place. My other Pedersolis seem to have been tuned the same way.

Of course, that doesn't mean they aren't tightening things more these days due to liability, they are certainly making the barrels a lot heavier near the breech.
