Any of you fellas ever tried some of these rascals, the Lyman "shocker" bullets?

Looks like the 454190 but with ginormous lube grooves, what is the mold number?

It's Lyman's #508668.
I don't have a .50 Great Plains Hunter barrel but hopefully the big lube grooves are going to help it fly straight with a TC four foot twist.

Speaking of #454190, Lyman also made a muzzleloader version of the #454190 at one point, putting bigger lube grooves in it and a hollow base and calling it #454613. Later on they came out with a traditionally styled minie mold with the same number, muddying the waters as they were prone to do on occasion. Maybe back then they were selling .45 bore rifles.

There was a 454613 for sale on evil bay. I liked the looks of it and had a couple ideas for experimenting and use, but it was $150 and I think that’s ridiculous.
