Grind or file an existing screwdriver to the specs you want. (Old-timey handle, of course!) A pick is nothing but a thin wire or rod you can bend into what ever shape you want; loop for a lanyard, or whatever. Much depends on whether or not you want something that looks of the period, or is purely functional. For purely functional purposes, take a paperclip and straighten it out a bit.
