Quality aways comes at a price. But my guess they will less than a custom gun. My custom flintlock cost $2,500.
What video or source stated the Hawken in late 2024? I cannot find that.

I've had a number of TC muzzleloaders in the past and still have a Seneca with a .36 and .45 cal barrels. I've moved on the Kibler. Bill

I don't understand why one would think a factory made rifle, like the TC 'hawken', might cost $1200.00. Modern rifles often cost much less. e.g. Savage makes a bolt action with scope that sells for less than $500.00.

If you want a Hawken, just gets some parts and build one. You will end up with a better gun and like it more because you built it.
Much, MUCH tougher to put together than Kibler’s.
Not always so. We aren’t all as handy at that?

Your right, probably not for everyone. That's a reason Kibler is so popular and just a great product.
I got a C- on the birdhouse during high school. But even I can handle a Kiblers lol.

They may be more expensive, but usually it's a much better product. (Kibler)
I think they know they'll need to be competitive, or buyers will look elsewhere.

Yes they can make some good one for sure but for some reason they still suffer from soft screws.
Build one lol. look up gunsmiths of williamsburg 1969 on you tube. after they forge a flat piece of steel they beat it in a jig to start rounding and the seam gets welded while it is red hot. they forge all the lock parts. making the stock is fascinating the whole video is.
you can replace screws for a small amount of money
