Two T/C Hawkens below...

Top one is my .54 (like new condition, just picked it up).
The bottom one is my trusty .50 (a little less new...haha)

Both are at full cock.

The .54 hammer functions properly, but it's travel is far less than the .50. At half cock, I can't slip a cap on with any of my cappers. My .50 hammer, as you can see, actuates far more than the .54.

Is the travel on a T/C hammer adjustable? If so, how does one increase it?

Thanks! 👍

On the TC it is early lock. late lock, the late one takes the short TC nipple. If memory serves me, and it usually doesn't, it was done as a safety concern by TC.

Try the short nipple for easier capping access.

Thanks,

Think the only way is to get a tumbler with a slightly different configuration. But, good luck with that.

One of mine is like that and the short nipple makes a difference.
