I bought this out of a closet...40 years worth of dust

I got it about 3:30...completely cleaned and polished by 5. Anybody mind if I fit a nosecap and entry thimble?

I'm with hanshi, I think a nose cap would detract from the classic look. Any makers marks or other markings. The only thing I would do is clean the bore/breech and take the lock out and clean and oil it.
Been there...done that...no shirt. The lock was...'iffy'...cleaned it anyway. Decent spark. Not as good as my Japanese flinter.
