Nice rifle for some, I really dislike Hawkens, they don't fit me and are way too clunky and nose heavy. The CVA Mountain is my ideal, I already bought all the ambitious furniture and I'll be cloning the barrel from a rice 15/16 54cal blank. For a lock a left 5" L&R. Ordering a grade 5 maple half stock blank and it's off to the races, I ordered 6 ribs, to make a barrel in each caliber so I am covered, one gun and done

There you go. You are solving your problems by building your own custom rifle. I learned to do it so anyone can learn to assemble a rifle. There are plenty of books and videos to show them how.
