This rifle appears to have been a rarely fired reenactor weapon. When I received it, there was a long, brass TASCO scope mounted in such a way as to be purely for visual purposes. Both of the original brass mounts had been butchered for this purpose. The elevator screw on rear had been removed and mount was attached to rear sight via a screw through the sides of the rear sight. The front mount was attached to the middle barrel band with a screw through the band. Ugh! The good news is that none of this affects the function of the rifle with mounts removed. The rear sight has a windage adjustable attachment. Bore is bright and shiny and appears little fired. Barrel has only minor scratches. The stock shows scattered handling marks and scratches, including a long scratch on underside of buttstock. There us a glued chip reattached on rear stock at tang. Seems stableThe barrel was made in England and mounted in Italian stock, etc. in Italy. So, not the newer Pedersoli. Date code is 1997. All in all, still a scarce, fully functional rifle. $950 + Shipping.
