Works real well

I use bore butter for now, when it's gone, I'll be looking for something new also.

I use STP oil treatment on all of my guns, it holds on and also keeps fouling out of the spaces. I used it on unmentionables forever and my Ruger .44 has 196,000 rounds with no measurable wear.

Try several brands of grease to find what work for you.
Choose a synthetic oil based grease because synthetic oil has an affinity for metal it likes to stick to metal and not run off.
I use Rand H.A.W.G. It works great for me but I don’t recommend it do ito it’s availability seem to have disappeared.
That Mobile 1 grease would be a good grease as recommended by above poster.
Lucas Red and Tacky would likely be equivalent.
The only thicker oil I would not recommend is M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil, it has so much fine teflon dust in it it takes considerable shaking to get liquefied after sitting for weeks. Plus teflon doesn’t seem to be an additive that recommended to be used on firearms. The shear strength of this oil really slowed cylinder rotation speed.
The one positive of the LPX oil is for use on the outside surface of the firearm, wipe it on the wipe off it leaves the surface feeling dry but very very slick.

Hi Temp bearing grease. Both on the arbor and in the frame.
Not really a thing. NLGI 2. For motor bearings as well as other use, yes, they are all rated to 300 some degrees (heating bearings to install aka friction fit, requires about 250 degrees - so by default the grease has to be good to 300+)

Synthetic by its nature is higher temp, also by its nature it does not get stiff as it gets cold. That is the type to use. Matter hot who the mfg is.

45D uses Mobile One, good stuff. Super Lube per RiverRat also uses Super Lube synthetic and equally as good. I happen to use it as I got free samples from days of yore.

Frankly I don't know of any synthetic grease mfg that is not good, if they go to the trouble to synthetic, by its nature its a higher cost grease and is not worth going half way.

No question regular grease works fine. Synthetic is just better.

I use the hi temp grease on account of the spring and summer temperature here. Anything less than the hi temp stuff gets runny and oozes out of the pistol and makes a mess.
