The very first boat wiring job was at Ducky's in Spruce Head in 1969 / 70 for a Mitchell. He bought a new Ford truck and it turned out to be a lemon and he got all his money back because of Maine's Lemon Law.

I spent many years sailing mostly Penobscot Bay.

You are in a beautiful spot !

Thank you, lots of us Mitchells in Maine!

Our Long Island is so much different from NY's. But we still have our own BS in the form of the "summah people" who think we need their advise on how to live.
Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome from Upstate New York's Central-Leatherstocking Region.

Always impressed with Islanders. THE ADMIRAL and I tooled around in a 34 foot sailboat and felt pretty independent . . . but actually making it work 365/24/7 with such isolation is VERY admirable (at least to me). We sold the boat and bought a hobby farm and can go months without power if necessary. Have gone weeks without power after bad storms so we are confident we have it covered. It's a state of mind as well as a way of life.

Problem I see with an island . . . what do you hunt? I'd think you'd be on a fishing forum. ;-)
There are a number of islands off the Miane coast that harbor huntable deer populations
