That will be sweet. The range I belong to is anything goes (no class lll, no 50 BMG), buy every so often I'll see some other charcoal burners there.
I am in two clubs. One is modern oriented but like your club some ml guys show up. I'm in a ml only club and it's the place to go to just shoot and bs with whoever else might be there. Often I'm the only one there on a weekday.

Hasn't been above 9* F today. Sitting at minus 4 now. My backyard squirrels have been busy.

Are they back from the colony Cruiser?😉

I wish there was a BP club near me. I'd spend way more time there, and only use the other one for shooting my unmentionable pistolas. I have to keep proficient with those for my yearly retired LEO recertification. I'd definitely burn a good bit of charcoal if I had a BP club to hang around.

No, their return mission collapsed. I have two remaining residents that I've decided to tolerate until spring. They are both demented and engage in some incredibly stupid antics. My wife is entertained by them so she is their savior. There's a third occasional visitor but the Dementos run him off

Well now, this is just a thought, maybe you could strike a deal with the Dementos. Put them through a sort of boot camp? A squirrel academy if you will, teach them to keep the undesirables away. That'd give you more time to fish in warmer weather? I bet they'd work for peanuts too🤔😉

Cruiser, you have done well with re-arranging living areas for those pesky, fruit stealing squirrels. Kudos to you for that. However, IMO, it would behoove you to look into one of those certain types of darn near silent, short range, accurate but deadly on squirrels, kind of rifles. You know, the kind that have a certain "Air" about them. No more trips to the colony. No more traps and no more having to look over your shoulder. :)

Today be the day. Jan 21st.

Happy National Squirrel Day fellas.
Thanks for the reminder.
Here's a couple.
Ways that we can truly show our appreciation for the little fellas.

Get a 200 shot range model with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time. Just don't shoot your eye out Cruiser.

-16°F air temp at 7:30AM when I first looked out the bedroom window to the woods behind the house. First thing I saw was six male squirrels already chasing a female all over. Despite her best efforts to evade, two captured her momentarily. Last I saw she was heading off through the woods full speed with all males in pursuit.

We often talk about how squirrels "sleep in" on cold mornings only to crawl out around mid to late morning. I guess they just need the right motivation. 🥰😁

I am seriously considering that! I do know that there are some folks in the neighborhood who would object. Don't know exactly who they are but I often find peanut shells in the backyard so there's that. We know that the State of New York executed Peanut so it's not him!

All my neighbors are good people so I don't want to offend any of them. Therefore, it depends on how quiet it is. 🤣

Ah, I remember how that "right motivation" can work on a fella.

Well you don't want to tick off your neighbors. But just in case, some of those squirrel tools are very quiet. I just happen to know that for a fact. :)
