All right. I couldn't take it any more. I just got off the phone with Richard at Flintlocks, Etc. and ordered a Le Page .44 and ordered 500 .433 balls and .010 patches from Track of the Wolf. Thank you all for your advice. -

Is that a rule of thumb that the rifling depth should match the patch thickness? I am actually considering getting the gun in .44. Pedersoli recommends a .435 ball, so I guess that would match with a .010 patch. Makes sense to me. -

Has anyone tried shooting with something called Super Lube? It is synthetic with PTFE. I have some sitting around my house and I thought I might try it in place of Bore Butter. -
