    corrosion by breech

I aquired a .45 T/C barrel that has alot of corrosion where the nippple screws in. T/C wants $85 to put a new breech plug in. Can't really afford that at this time. The breech seems okay because even the clean out screw come out. The nipple threads in and seems only a little loose as it...

I would like to replace the brass Hawken furniture on my T/C. I can replace most parts with Renegade parts except the buttplate and patchbox. Help with wood and metal finish

I have a chance to buy a Thompson kit rifle. I did notice on this forum that vinegar is used on the metal parts. I feel this is quite attractive. Anyone know how and what kind of product is used and how it is applied? Also, I read where black paint is applied to the rifle stock and wiped off to...

    It's a family tradition

Why are they holding their guns so low? Think about it---that way it's farther from their face. I feel that they know it is not safe. Many of them even turn their heads away from their guns when they fire. What I was wondering.......why do many of them use colored duct tape to tape their guns...

    It's a family tradition

In my opinion--------IDIOTS. It's fine to celebrate with a "bang" but to overload to this point is what the anti-gunners are looking for. I wonder if they've ever heard of gun safety classes?

    T/C triggers

So....what I understand that you are saying it is not a drop-in fit, but with a little stock work it can be done. Correct or not?

    T/C triggers

I just talked to a gal at T/C inquiring about putting double set triggers in my Renegade. She said that you cannot put a double set trigger conversion in a Renegade that has a single trigger. Anyone out there know why?

    1" IBS

A while back I asked a question about IBS. One kind fellow gave me a website (GM) and they list a round ball barrel that I am interested in. The problem is that it says I should contact my local dealer. We have no local dealer in my area. I need a .50 cal barrel with a 1/66 or 1/70 twist. Any...

    after the hunt

I live in southern Wi. and I was wondering if any of you fellows from the northern area unload your powder charge and ball after the hunt? It is legal for me to pull the cap and the muzzleloader is considered not loaded. But for the sake of a shot the next day, should I have any concerns about a...

    T/C trigger

My Renegade has somewhat of a heavy trigger pull. Can these be professionally "lightened" or should I replace with set triggers? Are set triggers available for the Renegade? Is it the same trigger group as the Hawken? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

    powder life

Can anyone tell me what shelf life a pound of ffg powder has? I feel that with all the high tax threats that are coming from the Wash. DC area, I think I'd better stock up. Also, I would like to buy one of those Co-2 tools just for "piece of mind". Where can I get them? Thanks.
