    Sighting with no rear sight?

I don't post much here because I don't really know much. Do read everything you guys post though. Thanks for all the information. I do have experience with a T/C 12 gauge. With the bead and proper placement of cheek on stock I had no problem with windage but POI was around 6in. or more low...

    12ga. New Englander Barrel

Hope it works for you. I had good luck with a Primos for my Rem.870 20 gauge so I got one for the ML and it worked well. I like you had tried several different loads including plastic shot cups and they didn't work. This load gave me 30 hits in the 3 in. circle I was shooting at 30 yds. Billy

    12ga. New Englander Barrel

I have the T/C 12 gauge and get a very nice even pattern at 30yds. 80gr Pyrodex 2 lubricated felt wads 1 and 1/2 ounces #5 shot 1 felt wad I use a screw in extended choke, it is a .660 Primos Tightwad. $20. Same choke that fits Browing Invector, Mossburg 500, and Winchester. Billy

    Goex fffg for 12 gauge?

I maybe wrong about this but I think I read on the Goex web site a statement made by this guy who was pushing Goex that the ffg was to coarse for him. It could not be measured correctly and for that reason he recommended using fffg for all calibers. He was not bad mouthing Goex just saying...

    Goex fffg for 12 gauge?

I have been using Pyrodex RS but alot of people on here like Goex . Some also like fffg so thats what I bought. Faster, cleaner, sounds good to me. I read that you use 10% less but then I read that you should use 15% less. Is it safe for the shotgun and how much should I cut back? I'm using...

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

Rebel, I agree and I'm perfectly happy with lead but you never know when they will say you cain't use it. Its already that way alot of places and not just duck hunting. Wildshot, Boy you guys have got the info. I don't know what i did before i found this forum. Yes i do i didn't do to well...

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

Winchester is making a non-lead alternative shot called Extended Range. They say it is heavier than lead but softer than steel and won't damage your barrel. I think I may check it out. Thanks Billy

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

I have the plastic shot cups from Knight but i don't know if they are suitable for Hevi Shot. I tried shot cups with lead shot and they didn't improve my pattern. I don't think they hurt it either but i don't like using them. Had to remove choke tube to use them.

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

No. I haven't got into using the moulds yet. Something I may like though. How much do the moulds go for? Where do you get your lead? Does it take a certain kind or can you use those they use to balance wheels?

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

I hear you Rebel and after using them denim patches I'm gonna believe you. I don't know if i will try it but that Heve Shot sure hits hard.

    Steel shot in a T/C 12 gauge

Has anyone tried steel shot or Hevi shot in your shotgun? Does it harm the barrel?

    20 guage load question

I do not normally point out anyones error because I sure make enough of them myself but I saw what you had done and I thought It was funny. I have the same problem with fish hooks, the larger the number the smaller the hook. I like funny and friendly. Billy

    20 guage load question

If your barrel is on the larger size wouldn't you want an 11 gauge wad?

What GAUGE Smoothebore would you CHOOSE.

Well I got it done today. Shooting at a 3" circle at 25 yds. Started with 75gr ffg, shot card, lubricated T/C felt wad, .690 RB and pillow ticking patch. First shot 4" low, windage great. Increased powder to 80gr. Second shot 2" to the left, elevation was good. Took Rebels advice and changed...

What GAUGE Smoothebore would you CHOOSE.

Whitetaildg Going to see what she will do tomorrow. The .690 RB still does not seem very tight with pillow ticking so i might have to go with the .715 but everyone here says the .690 should work. Rebel is right about the choke tube notches being a pain but you can get the extended tubes that...

Wildshot is right about choke tubes for T/C. I have a set of Mossberg tubes for mine.
