Thanks guys! I'm moving to Utah in two weeks, so as soon as I get my shop set back up I'll get to work and start on a good knife!

    Making a knife handle.

Thanks for all the help! Defintily going to try on my next blade. While trying to make a wooden handle for this one, I discovered the blade was perfectly weighted for a throwing knife so I just put some leather on the tang with some epoxy and tapped some brass into the holes to give it a...

    Making a knife handle.

Sounds great! I'm going to give it a try. As for the mild steel, I'm aware real knifeblades aren't made of that. It was a slow day at work and that's what I had laying around the shop.

    Making a knife handle.

Hey guys, I have a 1"wide 1/8"thick piece of mild flatstock I ground into a patch knife. I am very happy with the shape but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to put a handle on it. It's got a full tang and I already drilled some rivet holes on the tang. I'd like to use a piece of...

    Fast twist BP barrel

.451cal 535 grain. Something like what would be shot out of a Gibbs. I've had the mold for a while and this is my reason to use it.

    Fast twist BP barrel

I do like the H&A style lock. However I was thinking of going with the UHlock MBS offers. Still not sure though. Not going to be able to start this project till this time next year.

Also, while I have it in mind, what kind of breechplug and UHlock did you use in your rifle? I am curious because I have been marinating on UH designs for another project.

44" was right. Ideally I would like it a little on the long side. I plan to use a fullstock.

    Fast twist BP barrel

Hi guys, I am currently aquiring parts to build my dream rifle. More or less a Rigby sport but with a full stock and other attachments to make it a super accurate long range hunter. I am having the hardest time trying to locate a .45cal, 44", 1-18" fast twist barrel. Green Mountain used to make...
