    My Musket came today.

I have an Armi-Sport Richmond from Dixie too. I doubt they are selling many Euroarms Richmonds at $1,050. The trigger is incredibly heavy and it seems like the nipple is somewhat plugged up. CCI caps didn't work the first try, but all attempts using RWS caps worked. The stock is really nice...

Is it an Armi-Sport or Euroarms?

    Source for Minie Balls

A friend came across a Euroarms Enfield and we will shoot it the next time I am around. It apparently is a little older as it has brass barrel bands. He said the barrel is marked as 58 caliber. Dixie recommends a .577 minie ball in their catalog for Euroarms Enfields. I reckon a .575 would...

    Source for Minie Balls

Where is a good place to order cast minie balls? I only found a couple places through internet searching.

    James River Armory Enfield

Is that a reenactor or skirmish grade?

    James River Armory Enfield

I might have to look into the Parker-Hales. I don't think those are cheap either.

    James River Armory Enfield

I would use this for live fire on my own and possibly getting into skirmishing and maybe reenacting. Sounds like the Skirmish grade with the nicer barrel is the way to go. I just want to make sure that they are still plenty authentic looking.

    Which Rifled Musket?

You may wish to check out The Civil War Musket: A Handbook for Historical Accuracy--Lock, Stock and Barrel Modifications for Reproduction Civil War Era Enfield and US Pattern Rifle-muskets by Craig L. Barry. This book has good information on original and reproduction Enfields and Springfields...

    James River Armory Enfield

I am pondering the purchase of an Enfield Rifle Musket from James River Armory. Is the Skirmish Grade worth the extra $70 for the Hoyt barrel? Also, is the dovetailed front sight close to authentic? Any other thoughts on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks.

How much Ballistol do you mix up at a time?

So it only takes a few ounces per cleaning? Just trying to get an idea of how much Ballistol I need to use at a time and to compare the cost to other methods.

How much Ballistol do you mix up at a time?

For those of you who mix up Ballistol with water for a cleaning solvent in a 1:1, 1:3 ratio, or whatever how much do you mix up at a time for cleaning a rifle or revolver? I think I saw somewhere that it should be mixed at the time of use and not kept on hand, but I could be wrong.

    Starter Kit

I'm looking to get set up to shoot my new GPR. Are the kits offered by the Possible Shop the best deal out there? http://www.possibleshop.com/starterkit1.htm Is there somewhere else that has a better value or where I can purchase the individual parts for less? Thanks.
