    thank you. i beleve what you said at the bottom of your comment. in fact i live with old people (my grandparents) it has it upsides and downsides (the upsides being they lived history, the down being they dont have a lot of engergy to take me to the shooting range a lot.) :wink:

    did you know antique guns did not have a standard calaber system?

    on the web i saw that the old mountain guns had now real standard for calabers. how ever 4 kinds of rifles where made. one of around .35 cal was a squirrel gun. about .40 cal was a turkey gun. one of around 45 cal was a deer gun and 50 was for bear. is this true?

    i have a 50 cal muzzle loader. i want to make a measure for it. i have a antler tine. it is around 3 1/4" long and just under an inch wide at the top. the top looks like a poitny triangle. i need help and info on how to hollow it out. it is really dence stuff. if no one know how to help. does...

    dixie gun works sells synthetic sperm whale oil. the old timers yoused to say whale oil workd the best of all from what i have herd. now you would halve to go with the fake stuff. but it is all natural. it is made from some sort of seed oil

    try a guy called mike lange. he builds rifles that are quality guns but they dont take a big chunk out of the working mans budjet. type in google mike lange rifles and see what you get.
