    yes, that is why the GPH appealed to me... the faster twist of the GPH rifle -vs- the slower twist GPR rifle...I am craving a good conical shooter. All my TC's have 1-48 twists..the 1-32 twist of the GPH should be great with conicals!!

    thanx man for the info...i am usualy a TC guy but saw a lyman here 'while back in a pawn shop and was impressed with it....I use pure lead for all my muzzleloader conicals and soon i will have some RB moulds for my guns...and yes moulding your own bullets is a fun hobby...i have cast more...

    Im with ya on that...The closer to the eye=more sight radius=accuracy. with the short carbine barrel this should be better...I am searching for the "perfect" sight..may never end,may have to try 'em all!!

    Where does your William's sight mount on the barrel? My WMC is 54 cal. I also had trouble with finding a load that shoots good,,must be the 21" barrel...my gun is 1-48 twist. it shoots PRB and my hand cast 348gr REAL conicals pretty good. I sure burned alot of powder working up loads!!

I see Midway has these sights and they list one made for TC's with octagon barrels (Hawken, Big Boar or any with octagon barrel).     I wonder if the tang/peep sight TC currently sells will work on the smaller cherokee and seneca rifles? The peep that is on my cherokee was on it when I bought it, but it looks like the sight in TC's catalog..it mounts using one existing screw at the top and then one hole was drilled and tapped...

    Another company has 12x28 musket cap nipples for TC cherokee ,,Big Iron Barrel makes these for six shot pistols and should work on the Cherokee also..I believe the price was around 20 bucks for 6 of them delilivered

    What is the difference in the cherokee and the seneca rifles anyway?? my cherokee has set triggers and curved brass butt plate on it bit the barrel does not have "cherokee" written on it.. most other TC rifles have the gun name on the barrel..all my others do. My 32 barrel is in the original box...
