    I'm not sure if they may have switched bore dia. At some point, mine is a 2 diget ser. #. I used calipers on a soft slug driven through the bore.

    I just slugged the bore on my Tingle ".40 black powder magnum". It measured .409 lands, .429 groove dia. Rather Odd sizing. My .40 cal rifle is .401 on the lands.

    Keep that puppy, load it with 70-80 gr. Black, and 1&1/8 to 1&1/4 oz shot. The older ones are the best, very trim and lively. If you sell it, you'll just waste the money on something stupid like food or heat, trust me.

    .570 balls in a 20G smoothy

    I did OK with a 20ga cushion wad, a .562 ball and heavy denim patch in a 62/20 ga. Smoothbore. About 5" at 50yd, so nothing to brag on, but easy loading, and would work for close range deer, etc.

    Primer Compound -- getting it to stick

    It's really hard to beat the Duco and acetone mix. I see no reason to explore further, my caps rattle around all day, and nothing falls out.
