    Need TC help...

My brother gave me the rifle free.Could'nt pass up that deal. Everything but the barrel is now in great shape and the stock has some really nice grain. I really don't want a smooth bore or 58. Leaning towards a new GR barrel.Should have a really nice looking and accurate rifle for $250. Bill L

    Need TC help...

I really appreciate all the info from everyone. I worked on the barrel for a couple hours. Tried JB Bore Paste,Hoppes,WD-40,and steel wool. It's too far gone.Plus, the nipple threads are all rusty and I just don't trust what the insides look like. It would make a good duck decoy anchor :hmm: ...

    Need TC help...

Just rescued a TC Renegade from my brother. Rifle sat uncleaned in the closet for 15 years. Lock, stock and trigger are fine but barrel is beyond hope. Are the Renegade and Hawken barrels interchangeable? Are the Green Mountain barrels worth the money? I hate putting $250 into a $200 rifle...

    Lyman sight......

My old eyes are starting to go. I'm having trouble seeing the front sight. I'm looking at the Lyman 57 GPR peep sight for my Great Plains Rifle. TOW has them in stock but indicates that if the rifle was made before 1997 I'll need to drill and tap a hole. How can I tell if I'll need this...

    Home brew patch lube....

I'm a newer member to the forum. I'm getting back into BP shooting after a long lay-off. Looking for "home made" patch lube recipes....the more the better. I've tried some commercial brands with mixed results. I know every rifle is different but I want to know ALL my options. The rifle is used...

    No more BP....

It's getting impossible to find Black Powder in my area(eastern Iowa). I shoot a Lyman GPR 50 cal. It hates Pyrodex! I'm just getting back into black powder shooting after a long lay off and not familiar with the new powders. Has anyone tried them in their GPR's. Any help will be appreciated...
