Just another TC added to the collection

Nice! Sure wish I could find a T/C like that. Pretty piece of wood. How can T/C look at their new inlines, then look at how they used to make muzzleloaders and not feel shame they dont make them like that anymore? Guess the color green is hard to ignore.

old style lock, will T/C replace?

old style lock, will T/C replace?

Well that is my other concern about the barrel. It is not a T/C barrel. Its a green mountain barrel. When dealing with issues with centerfire rifles and manafactuers seems as though if anything is changed from origanl configuration they will send it back stating the modification is the problem...

    Sitting Fox kits?

I was browsing over at sitting fox and noticed his prices are a good 1-200 cheaper than most other places. Seams he uses same locks, barrels and everything else. The only thing that I would see that he gets different or /makes are the stocks. For example sitting fox is advertising a lancaster...

Is this where my liner goes?

Alright, so the vertical line represents where my breech plug ends. The horizontal line is the center of my barrel. Well if my picture was rotated! anyway you guys know what I mean Do I have the liner in the right spot? Also I sent my stock back for the manafacturers evaluation if they made a...

    inletting my tang with pics(help)

Thats good to know zonie. Thats what made sense to me in my head. But then flipped to the back of the how to book and noticed his drawing showed that the center of the liner was about right on the face of the breech plug.

    inletting my tang with pics(help)

Yeah thats what I thought you were gonna say birddog. I emailed them the photos and explained my dilema. So hopefully Ill hear from them on monday. I did set that barrel back to far though. I was not thinking right about that vent liner. I origanally thought I needed the whole liner ahead of...

    inletting my tang with pics(help)

My barrel is already above the top of the wood in the lock area. see picture. If I raise the barrel up more it will be way past the top of the lock area and look stupid.

    inletting my tang with pics(help)

well I dont know what to do now. The liner they sent me is already riding that edge. I dont want to nor do I think that it should be required for me to hog out my pan. So Im wondering if this stock was inletted wrong by the factory to start. One edge of that barrel channel had already broken...
