    Reaction to flintlock

Would love to see pics of the Elk. Would also love to see pics of the sheeple with their jaws stuck to their belt buckles when they see your Elk!

    I think I have a House rifle

Thanks 54! The lock is a Chambers, but the rifle was not made from one of their kits. Still trying to get through to Getz. I will let you know as I learn more.

    I think I have a House rifle

A friend told me how to remove the barrel. On the underside at the breech end is stamped: GETZ BEAVERTOWN PA. .50 1/66". Then in what looks like an electric engraver #23522 1" Dickert. I have the number for Getz barrels and plan on calling them. I have been contemplating this rifle since...

    Customizing a Pedersoli

Michelangelo did not start with the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel! You did great. I have been at several meets and seen several "discussions" about who's gun is who's! You will always know it is yours.

Will a flintlock spark in very cold weather?

    I think I have a House rifle

Thanks Stumpkiller! I have sat here in front of the computer with this rifle across my knees looking at sites and pictures. Just frustrating that there are no markings. I got pics I will try to get on here tonight.

    I think I have a House rifle

I will try to get some pics on here. There are no markings on the gun, not even a caliber stamp on the barrel. Well there is a "CM" engraved on the patchbox cover. Thanks

    I think I have a House rifle

I live near Horn In the West, an outdoor drama in Boone NC. I was in the show for several years and still try to help out. Several years ago(2003?) a fellow donated, what I think, is a very fine rifle. Story was he was a doctor and needed a tax write-off. It resembles, very closely, Mel...

    Hello from Western NC

Hello to all! Jess from northwest NC. Looked over the site for a few hours when I first applied, if that is the right word! Learned more in 3 hours than I have anywhere else on a computer in 3 days! Great site! Thanks

    Rose Gunworks ???

The gun seems to be in good shape overall. Good luck with it. That mainspring could be re-tensioned; there are several good teaching sites out there.
