    concerns about fit and finish of new Lyman GPR

    If this is a completed gun and not a kit I would think 1/8 inch is a little much on the tang inset. On my kit it wasnt that low to start with.

    GPR loads

    Use .530 ball, Wally world .018 pillow ticking, 50 grains Goex 3f for target and bump up to 80 grains 3f Goex for hunting. I ran a search on this subject and guys are knocking down deer with this size load.

    LMF Brown Progress

    Now take a good bristle brush and scrub lightly with a water and baking soda solution, neutralizes the acid. Rub lightly with some 0000 steel wool, then rub some boiled linseed oil into it and Ill bet she comes out looken real pretty... :thumbsup: Gary
