Is this with your wads? or did you not find them.

Lyman GP 1-32" .50 roundballs OK

Those are darn nice groups there.I would try those Wonder Wads next time out as they may just make your nice groups even better with the .490 ball. I hope to shoot mine again in the next day or so w/some different charges. This myth breaking thing is kind a fun.

    The Cur Hawken & RB

I read your post and I'm antsy to try some different charges. I wish I could shoot at 50yds.The way I figure it, the closer I can get to 1/2"-3/4" at my 30yds the better a 50yd group would be.I would like to try a conical or two as well.

    The Cur Hawken & RB

I shot a few RB's through the Cur Hawken today and it did OK. I only tried one load as its been kinda raw in these parts. The balls I got free at a local shop and mike @ .441. Pillow ticking from Wallmart is .20. They loaded snug but went down smooth. The barrel is a GM 1-30 45. I only tried...

    The Cur Hawken

I agree with you on that 100%. I was going to replace those screws too but it kind of got lost in the phases. The butt plate screws are the same and I am replacing all of them. I'll need to age the new ones tp match up.

    The Cur Hawken

Here are a few pics of my cmpleted rifle. The stock was a in the rough TC kit stock, barrel is a Green Mtn. 45 LRH originaly blued.Tang and wedge plates are TC,lock is a Lyman GP,trigger is a Davis from TOW and trigger guard is also from TOW. I aged the brass w/amonia vapors and used LMF browning...

    TC Clone Lock

I looked at the L&R Lyman rpl. lock at TOW and it appears identicle except for the spring. Do you know the size of the lock bolt/screw as I need to get one at the hardwear store if the have it.I had to file some edges on the plate to get it to set into the TC inletting. The lock cost me O so I...

    TC Clone Lock

I will try to get a pic up tomorrow.I looked at that lock TOW sells and its a leaf spring type by L&R not a coil spring like this one.

    TC Clone Lock

I received a lock today from a store where I got my barrel and I understood it was a TC lock which they threw in free. Its not a TC as the plate is smooth no engraving color case hardened and no mfg. marking. It looks just like a TC and "almost" fits the inletting. I've been away from...

    GM 1:28 45

I have a chance to get a mint like new TC drop in LR Hunter in 45 cal. 1:28. Anyone have any experience with this barrel? I know its not really intended for RB but I will try it if I go through with this. Don't have a TC stock yet but I should be able to find one. I saw a "old" box of Buffalo...

    Under Ribs

I was looking at under ribs on TOW for a potential TC Seneca barrel replacement. Need advice on the type to get or if it even matters. They have a smooth flat one and one with an edge/rail on ea. side. Also best way to install it. I've never soldered before but read a good post on here about...

    Seneca

Is there anyone on here shooting a 45 Seneca? I'd be interested in knowing what shoots good for you. Looking at a used one in mint condition, like new really.Very pretty little gun but I don't like the twist nor the short barrel but I could live with it if is shot real good.

    Hello from Maine

Found this site while looking for ticking. I'm getting back into a sidelock real soon. Back in the 80's I built a Mowery 54 which was a very good shooter.Sold it to buy a Johnathon Browning 54 which was a shooter as well. Belonged to a great club up in Northern Maine. Retired from the military...
