Here are a few pics of my cmpleted rifle.The stock was a in the rough TC kit stock,barrel is a Green Mtn. 45 LRH originaly blued.Tang and wedge plates are TC,lock is a Lyman GP,trigger is a Davis from TOW and trigger guard is also from TOW. I aged the brass w/amonia vapors and used LMF browning solution.

Looking pretty good.

I know this rifle is basically a modern style and this is pretty close to picking the fly $!%# out of the pepper but it pains me to see Phillips head screws on a muzzle loader.

They weren't used until the mid 1930's.

OK. I'll go back and sit in the corner now. :(
 
I agree with you on that 100%. I was going to replace those screws too but it kind of got lost in the phases. The butt plate screws are the same and I am replacing all of them. I'll need to age the new ones tp match up.
