    Le Page on it's Way!

I second Smokey’s comments about the LePage pistols. I’ve both the flint and percussion versions and either one will provide a wonderful afternoon’s shooting at 25 yd targets. If only my part stood up to their accuracy! Enjoy!

    ML shooting range etiquette?

At my local range, I frequently encounter smokers behind the firing line. I make a point to let everyone nearby know that I'm shooting black powder, and may have powder open during the loading process, and for them to react accordingly with their smokes!

    Sharon Barrels

"was sold off to a company in Colorado Springs." As a member of the Colorado Springs Muzzleloaders group in the late '70s and early '80s, I recall our group being invited to tour the new barrel making operation in west CSprings and eyeing the entire barrel and stock making process that had been...

    Vermont Primitive Biathlon?

Did it a couple of years ago; was about 1.5 to 2 mi; wooden snow shoes only, nine targets, timed. Snow can be from a few inches to when I did it, 24inches! Same for temps. Primitive dress encouraged, but not mandatory. Usually very well attended, with several sutlers and food, as well...

    Pewter Tankard Source?

You might do an Ebay search for pewter tankard. At present, there are numerous Sheffield, England made pewter tankards that will likely fit your needs and be safe to use, at reasonable prices. Also, Steiff made (USA) tankards should fit safety and timeframe needs.

    18 th Century Artisan Show

I've made the seven hour trip to Lewisburg now for the last five years and have found it to be the best all-around longrifle associated craftsman show, this side of the CLA Show in KY! This years appearance of David Wright and Frank and Lally House was especially nice to see. Each year the...

Just wrapped up today's visit to the Fair. Warm but pleasant weather, low humidity for once! Some regulars not here this year (ie. Forbes Road: Love, War, and Revenge on the Pennsylvania Frontier
