    Switching triggers

Thanks for all the input guys. I took the trigger out of an old M/L that I had. Aafter some grinding and filing along with putting a filler block in. I now have a functioning single trigger. Once I get it all cleaned up I will post a pic of it. Thanks again, Ben

    Switching triggers

LOP is ok and not a problem. I just don't have long enough fingers to reach the front trigger well. Back trigger is fine so I thought a single would work. I think the gun has L&R T-5 triggers. Going to swap them for a T-1600. May have to add some wood and re-do the trigger area to make it fit.

    Switching triggers

The rifle is a Southern Rifle made by TVM. I bought it used and cleaned it up. Thing is I have small hands and don't reach the front trigger very well. I also prefer a single trigger for hunting.I removed the trigger and I think a new one would fit in if I knew which kind that I have.

    Plum Brown ?

By using my outdoor gas grill I am able to provide a more consistant heat over a much larger area of the barrel. I use coat hangers to suspend the barrel and rotate it as I apply the chemical. Worked well before. Going to try it again this week.

    Plum Brown ?

I did a 36 inch barrel for a kit gun a few years ago. I kept it evenly heat by utilizing my gas grill out on the deck. Worked well for me and it was quick. I read thru the LMF info at the top of the page . May have to try it.

    Plum Brown ?

I am re-doing a rifle and want to redo the brown finish. I just about have all of the old brown off the barrel now. My question is, is there any thing wrong with using the Brichwood Casey Plum brown? I have used it in the past with good results. On here folks seem to prefer the LMF stuff...

    Wild Hogs

Hogs here in the south compete with the deer for acorns. About all you need to do is find a white oak or chestnut oak dropping acorns and the hogs will run the deer out quick.

    Wild Hogs

The problem with hog as I see it here in Georgia , is once they move in and get established you will never kill enough to keep up with the population. A sow drops 6 or more piglets twice a year...

    Mowery Rifles

I really like mine. I am planning on using it this turkey season. The public land I hunt has a lot of hogs on it and last season I passed on them. Georgia lets you use any muzzle loader during turkey season so I will blast a bird with a PRB from the Mowery.

    Mowery Rifles

I have a 50 cal. Mowrey Rifle that I built from a kit 5 or 6 years ago. I was just wondering if anyone on here shoots one and how do you like it ?
